About Our Rooms

Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu offers Japanese-style and Western-style rooms with a quaint and relaxing atmosphere.
Each guest room is equipped with air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, and private bathroom (some with a shower booth).
In addition, yukata, bath towels, hair dryer, etc. We have all the necessary equipment and amenities.

In addition, at Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu, we have installed Airweave mattress pads in all rooms to improve the quality of your sleep.
A rarity among inns in Tokyo.

Suite

The rooms are furnished in Ryukyu style with half-sized tatami mats without borders laid out in a checkered pattern. The unit bath and shower booth were renovated in March 2024.
Both rooms are perfect for groups of 3-4 people, families, and couples looking for a relaxing stay.

This is a unique suite with two 6 tatami rooms connected to each other.
A separate stylish shower booth/washstand and toilet space (washlet) are provided.
From the balcony, you can see Sensoji Temple in front and Tokyo Skytree on the right.

It is an 8 tatami room and a 4 and a half tatami room that are connected to each other.
The room has been renovated to be more user-friendly, with a relatively spacious unit bath, sink, and washlet toilet.
You can see Sensoji Temple from the small balcony. This is the largest room in the hotel.

Japanese-Western Room

In February 2025, we renovated this room into a slightly more deluxe Japanese-Western room for couples or other guests who prefer a Western-style bed to a Japanese-style futon. Experience the comfort of an Airweave bed mattress while keeping the Japanese atmosphere. Please sit on the low table and Ojami cushions on the Ryukyu tatami mat in front of the bed and talk about your travel memories. For a third guest, we will provide a comfortable set of futons on the Ryukyu tatami mat. Although it is a little narrow, it can also be used by families with children or groups of three.

Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has installed the Airweave mattress pad, which is known to be used by people who are particular about their sleep, including top athletes, in all rooms.

We provide high-quality sleep so that you can rest comfortably until morning.

In addition, all rooms have natural water grown at the foot of Mt.Tanzawa in Hakone. Enjoy carefully selected Japanese mineral water in returnable bottles that are SDG-friendly.
