Important Notice: Beware of Suspicious Emails and Messages
Claiming to Be from Hotels or Online Travel Agencies

Thank you for your continued patronage.

We have confirmed that suspicious messages claiming to be from our ryokan or online travel agencies (online booking platforms)
are being sent to guests.
These messages are sent via messaging apps such as WhatsApp
and contain fraudulent links that may direct you
to malicious phishing websites.

Neither our ryokan nor online travel agencies will ever contact you directly
via messaging apps such as WhatsApp
regarding your reservation
or credit card details.

If you receive any such suspicious emails or messages,
please do not click on or open any links they contain
to protect yourself from fraud.

If you have already opened one of these links and entered your credit card information,
please contact your credit card issuer immediately
to have your card blocked and arrange any other necessary protective measures.

We sincerely apologize for the considerable concern
and inconvenience this situation has caused our guests.
Thank you for your understanding and continued vigilance.

Manager, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu
